Out of all the knowledge in the universe, every human being has less than 1%. What if in that 99% of all the knowledge you don't have, there is plenty of scientific evidence that the God of the Bible is real, but you have never been exposed to that information?
Do you think an instruction manual could make itself, with dozens of color images, page numbers in sequence, and coherent sentences? Of course not. That would be insane. One of the reasons is the fact that information needs a mind to exist. How can something be understood without someone making it understandable? Think about it.Your DNA carries genetic instructions for your development, functioning, growth, and reproduction. That means there are instructions inside you that tell your body how to build organs, how to build structures, how to use food, what color your eyes should be, whether your hair will be curly or straight, etc. Do you think your DNA could make itself? The instructions that form DNA are information so complex and interconnected that they logically need a mind to exist. When you look around you, everything that you see, at some point, was not there. And nothing appears by itself. It is scientifically impossible for anything to just start existing. Now, think about this for a moment: if there was ever a time in the past when there was absolutely nothing, wouldn’t there still be absolutely nothing? It is wise to admit that something or someone must have always existed and therefore caused the existence of everything else. That is the meaning of eternal, no beginning and no end. The Bible says that God is eternal, and that He gives us eternal life when we are reconciled to Him through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance.
These are only some of the reasons. There are scientific facts in the Bible written hundreds of years before scientists discovered them. You can research all of this.According to the genealogies in the Bible between Adam and Jesus Christ, humanity is only about 6000 years old. No one has ever been able to prove, and no one can reliably prove that humanity existed 7000 years ago.The Bible talks about dinosaurs, by the way. Some people talk about millions of years, and evolution, and a big bang, but those things are very easy to disprove. Radiometric dating methods have never worked on young rocks of known ages such as solidified lava after volcanic eruptions, so why should we trust them for rocks of unknown ages?Do you know what Lego is? If you put a bunch of Lego pieces in a shoe box and shake it until it breaks open, do the pieces come out spread all over the place or with some kind of shape? Of course they come out spread all over the place. That’s because explosions produce chaos and destruction, not order. Order takes intelligence. If you are walking down the street, and see 10 columns and 10 rows of flowers forming a square shape, you can tell there are 100 flowers, and you can also tell that it didn’t happen by chance. There has to be a mind behind things like that. When you think about the order in everything in nature, you realize there has to be a mind behind life. That’s only one of the reasons the Big Bang theory doesn’t make sense. And neither does Darwinian evolution. Even if the Lego pieces come out with some kind of shape, do you think that that shape would develop life, become bigger and more complex with millions of years, or it would fall apart, and degrade, and get a little stain here and there? Do you see where logic leads you?No one has ever been able to prove that a single living cell multiplied and became fish, or that fish became mammal, or that rabbit became monkey until humans resulted from that evolution process. No one can reliably prove that a kind of animal ever changed into another.Supposedly, it took millions of years for us to get to this point, and therefore we are still evolving at a very, very slow speed. But every animal and plant that you see around you is fully developed. No animal has a half-evolved leg, or a half-evolved nose, or a half-evolved brain that stops them from being fully functional. How can food be so delicious if it’s still evolving? The Bible has the answer. It says in the first chapter of the Bible: “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good...” (Genesis 1:31) The first verse of chapter two says: “Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.” (Genesis 2:1) So God created everything to be very good, and He finished it. Nothing is evolving, according to the Bible. And what do you see around you? Nothing is evolving.
It’s good to know these things, but what’s really important is where you will spend eternity. If you were to die in an accident tomorrow, and God were to judge you by the Ten Commandments, would you be innocent or guilty? And where would you go? Heaven or Hell?Have you ever lied, stolen anything, or used God’s name in vain? If so, you are going to be guilty, and the Bible warns that Hell awaits. You may think you are a good person, but this is basically what happens:If you steal some money and go to court because of that, the judge is not going to judge you based on the good things you have done, but on the crime itself. You can’t say “Judge, I’m really sorry. I didn’t want to do it, but I needed the money. Two months ago, I helped an old lady cross the street, and last year, I gave fifty dollars to a homeless guy, so I feel like I have done more good things than bad things in my life. Please, judge, forgive me.” If the judge is not corrupt, he must punish your crime and make sure justice is done. But what happens if someone loves you so much that he steps into the courtroom and says: “Stop, judge! I’m going to pay the fine.”? Then the judge can legally dismiss your case and set you free right away. That is exactly what God did when He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, ‘’paying our fine’’ with His blood, because death is the penalty for sin, but God wants us to live forever without forsaking justice.“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)When God created us, He gave us freedom, and freedom is good, but we used that freedom to basically disobey Him. That disobedience is called sin in the Bible, and it creates a separation between us and God. It says in the Bible that God is light, and that sin is darkness. If you look at any shadow, you can notice how it’s impossible for darkness and light to be in the same place at the same time. But God loves us so much that He doesn’t want to be separated from us. That is why He sent His Son Jesus to take away all of our sins.“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)We Christians believe that God is not only one person, but actually three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It can be hard to understand that, and also to explain it, but that’s what the Bible says. We believe that Jesus (the Son) existed before being born as a human being, and that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit in a virgin woman. Therefore, He had knowledge before being born of how He was supposed to obey all of God’s commandments, how to do things on Earth, etc. That allowed Him to live a perfectly sinless life, and at the end of that life, He offered it as the ultimate sacrifice for all the sins of humanity. Then He rose from the dead, and was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses before ascending into Heaven. That would be crazy for a human being to achieve, but God can do it. Jesus fulfilled all the Bible’s numerous prophecies of a Savior. Some people say that Bible prophecies were written after the facts, but God predicting the future is what archaeology points to. The Great Isaiah Scroll, discovered in 1947 within the Dead Sea Scrolls, dates back to around the year 125 BC (which means “before Christ”), and contains many detailed prophecies that only Jesus has fulfilled in history. The fact that Jesus has risen also means God approved His sacrifice. Before that, people used to do animal sacrifices to be forgiven by God, but right before dying, Jesus said: “It is finished.” (John 19:30) Basically, Jesus was saying: No more sacrifices after Me. All you have to do is believe in who I am, and that My sacrifice is enough.“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)If someone offers you a gift, it’s not yours unless you accept it, and it’s not a gift before you accept it, it’s only an offer. God is offering everyone eternal life through Jesus Christ, like a parachute we should put on while we fall from an airplane 10,000 feet high, but we have to accept it before we have it. Once you accept the sacrifice that Jesus did for you on the cross, by putting your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, rather than trusting your own goodness to save you before an incorruptible judge, and you repent of your personal sins, God will forgive you, and you will receive the gift of eternal life. He promised it, and He cannot lie.“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)Is there any good reason why you cannot receive the gift of God and have eternal life right now? Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead? If you do, you can pray something like this:“Father, thank You for helping me realize how much I need Your forgiveness. I am sorry for my sins and I ask humbly that You forgive me. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for suffering and dying for my sins, and I ask that You help me from now on to serve You and please You. I pray You give me a new heart with new desires, and I pray You help me get to know You better. Thank You for the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.”
To show your gratitude, you can read the Bible, be baptized, and join a Bible-centered Christian church. You can also share this message with someone who may need it.“Jesus said to him, ”I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
