Scientific Evidence that God Exists + Atheism Doesn’t Make Sense

If a Christian says that God exists, and an atheist says that God doesn’t exist, they are both claiming to have the truth, to know the facts, and to be objectively right. But an atheist who is consistent with the atheistic worldview cannot claim any argument to be objectively true.If the Theory of Evolution is true, humans came from some kind of aquatic animal, and every opinion and thought that we have is only a bunch of chemical reactions in our brains, which are still evolving and haven’t reached their full potential. Also, a chemical reaction cannot be objectively better than another one.Nothing could be objectively true in that case, let alone good or bad, because all of those words and concepts would be only social constructs result of the human consciousness to explain the human experience. Not even a fact would be objectively a fact, even though it could be physically happening, because the concept of “something physically happening” would also be a social construct defined by interpretations of the human experience in our still-evolving brain connections.We could not even reliably trust our own ability to choose wisely between the truth and a lie. Nothing could be grounded in anything objective. The social consensus on what is good for society has allowed slavery, the Holocaust, and many other crimes throughout history, so not even many people’s opinion can collectively produce objective truth.If a Christian says that God created the world with objectivity, truth, logic, facts, and the possibility of someone being right or wrong, there is no way to logically deny it. Every counter-argument would be automatically invalid because nothing would be objectively true or more than a neurochemical reaction while trying to refute the Christian’s claim. Any attempt to argue against God rests on the existence of God’s grounding for truth and objectivity because God never changes, but everything else changes.But why does it have to be the God of the Bible? Let’s talk about material facts for a moment.Nothing appears by itself. It is scientifically impossible for even a grain of sand to just start existing. If there was ever a time in the past when there was absolutely nothing, scientifically speaking, there would still be absolutely nothing. The fact that things exist means that something or someone must have always existed in order to cause them to exist. That state is called “eternity”: no time running, no beginning and no end. The Bible says that God is eternal, and that He gives us eternal life when we are reconciled to Him through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance.Why should you believe the Bible and not any other truth claims out there?The genealogies in the Bible between Adam (the first human being) and Jesus Christ point to humanity being created around 6000 years ago. There is no verified human history from or before the year 4100 BC, which is roughly 6100 years ago. The oldest written records discovered by humanity date to around the year 3500 BC. That’s easy to check online.Only human writing is a reliable source of human history before cameras existed. Imagination based on material discoveries such as fossils, cave paintings, ancient monuments, and rustic tools is not history. We know for sure that Julius Caesar and George Washington existed in specific periods of human history because of their writings and writings about them, not because of their possessions or statues alone.The Bible says that Jesus is God, and it warns that every other belief system is false. In many parts of the Bible, Jesus claimed to be God, in different ways, including simply being called “my God” and not rejecting that title (John 20:28). Every intelligent person can agree that Jesus was not hallucinating, and that only leaves room for truth or lies.Why would someone claim to be God, without being God, and suffer persecution, mockery, torture, and one of the most painful forms of execution without repenting of that claim, finally dying very young? The crucifixion of Jesus is a historical fact supported even by atheist historians.The disciples were terrified when Jesus surrendered and died, but they were bold and unafraid after seeing Him risen from the dead, so much that they were also persecuted, tortured, and killed, in many cases, for preaching the resurrection of Jesus.Christianity was illegal in its beginning for over 250 years, so the argument of it being created to control the population is not logical. Most religious groups want people to blindly follow their beliefs, but the Bible calls Christians to “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21) (KJV)Only a God who is confident in being the truth Himself can encourage His followers to prove/test/examine everything without fear of His followers leaving Him for the truth. The introduction of this message shows with logic how God is, before everything true, the objective truth Himself. Jesus said He is the truth (John 14:6).There is a lot more scientific evidence that God exists, and that the Bible is reliable:
- There are over 15 scientific facts in the Bible written hundreds of years before scientists discovered them. You can easily find that online.
- The Big Bang Theory is not logical: explosions produce chaos and destruction, not order.
- The Theory of Evolution is not logical: nothing without life can scientifically start living.
- No one can reliably prove that a kind of animal ever changed into another (e.g., a bear into a monkey).
- Supposedly, we are still evolving, but every animal is 100% functional, and most food is very delicious. In the first two chapters of the Bible, we read that God made everything, it was very good, and He finished the creation (Genesis 1:31, Genesis 2:1).
- The Bible talks about dinosaurs.
- The average person doesn’t have access to any radiometric dating methods so we have to take those “studies and test results” by faith.It’s good to know all of that, but none of that knowledge is going to help you if you don’t receive the gift of God before your judgment day. What is the gift of God?According to the Bible, we are all sinners in different ways. God is holy, and every sin (even one lie) separates us spiritually from God – like darkness and light not being able to coexist. We were created in the image and likeness of God, so our souls will exist forever. Separation from God means separation from the eternal source of life, so you will be spiritually dead for eternity unless you are reconciled to God. In the Bible, the place of eternal death is called Hell, and none of your favorite things exist there.But God loves us so much that He allows us to disobey Him with a chance to be forgiven, and He made a way for us to be forgiven of our disobedience (sin) without forsaking justice. If you steal some money and go to court because of that, the judge has to make sure justice is done and send you to jail, even if you are sorry and mention good things you have done in your life. Only a corrupt judge would consider your good deeds as the criteria to set you free. But if someone pays your fine, the judge can legally let you go. That is exactly what God did by becoming a human being, living a life without sin, and dying a painful death on a cross, as the only spiritual payment acceptable by Himself for all the sins of humanity. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). Then He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven.Salvation is the gift, and we receive it by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). It’s like a parachute we should put on while we fall from an airplane 10,000 feet high, but we have to receive it before we have it. You don’t know when you are going to die, so be humble and wise while you have time. Is there any good reason why you cannot receive that gift right now? If you want to receive God’s gift, you can pray something like this:“Thank You, Lord Jesus, for suffering and dying for my sins. I am sorry for my sins, and I ask humbly that You forgive me. I pray You give me good desires, help me do Your will for my life, and help me get to know You better. Thank You for the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.”
